The team behind Lowd Vans puts great value on both the aesthetic quality and the practical performance of all of our products. User experience is core to our approach and we have spent many hours working out the most effective use of space within a limited footprint.
Naturally it makes sense that we would offer you our collections in only the best quality materials and components. From the choice of materials for the carcasses and worktops, through the inner workings and mechanics, right down to the screws to put the cabinets together, each element has been thoughtfully considered to balance value for money, performance and longevity.

Cabinets
Cupboards, lockers, consoles
Lowd Vans flat pack kits are locally designed and produced in Melbourne. The cabinet components are cut using Computer Numeric Control (CNC) from factory-finished plywood that is Forestry Stewardship Council® (FSC) certified.
Film faced plywood combines functionality with good looks. With its smooth, hard melamine film coating on both faces, the surface is easy to clean making it the perfect choice for use in kitchens. The exposed plywood edge detail adds a sophisticated contemporary look. Lowd Vans offers film faced cabinetry in a choice of white or black as standard, or laminate finishes in sky blue, mint green or orange.
As the ongoing war in Ukraine and subsequent Russian sanctions continue to present challenges to the importation of traditional birch plywood from the region, some of our suppliers have transitioned to a rubberwood substrate as an alternative. Both materials are attractive, strong, durable and environmentally responsible.

When it comes to the day to day use of your Lowd Vans cabinets, ergonomics and performance matter. We believe that safety and efficiency must go hand in hand with style and aesthetics which is why we select high spec components throughout. Ensuring a reliable, pleasurable user experience. Every time.
We don't believe in cutting corners which is why we source quality products from established, industry-leading brand names such as Häfele and Dometic, Smev and Fiamma. Bringing together the perfect mix of European engineering and design flair, you can rest assured that your cabinets and drawers will not only be a joy to operate but these small details will combine to enhance the entire look and atmosphere of your camper van interior.
Lowd Vans drawers run on heavy duty, ball-bearing runners, with integrated soft closing mechanisms. Our cupboard doors utilise nickel plated, soft-close hinges. And drawers and doors are held securely shut with satisfying push push button door catches that ensure nothing unexpectedly unfastens when you're out on the road!
Hardware
Nuts and bolts
Packed with each of our kits are all the bits and pieces of hardware you will need to put the flat pack cabinets together.
We include a high speed steel countersink drill bit, with quick change hex shank, to facilitate accurate pre-drilling and countersinking where required. Plus a square drive bit to make cabinet assembly secure, fast and easy. Naturally we also collate all the various assorted screws, nuts, bolts, and connectors required to assemble your cabinets. All the components are counted out, packed and clearly labeled for each individual cabinet.
