Description

Lowd Vans Applebox is a central console unit designed for VW T2 kombis.

At 300mm wide, this invaluable central console unit for T2 kombis sits comfortably between driver and front passenger seats of your van. Complete with two cup holders, a magazine rack, hinged lid giving access to storage below and at the rear, a roomy pull-out deep drawer with removable dividers.

We named it after the ubiquitous tools of the trade in the film industry (our former lives). And we have even added perforations for ventilation so you really can store your fresh fruit and vegetables in it.

Finishes

Lowd Vans products are CNC machined to order in Kent, England.

We use factory-finished 12mm FSC birch plywood (sustainable, lightweight and water resistant). The cabinet carcass and front has a melamine / phenolic film-face finish in a choice of colours. The hinged lid, end pocket and fascia have a Birch Formica® laminate finish.

New RAW finish

From September 2026 we are introducing a budget edition for each of our Full Assembly kits and selected Accessories. Raw timber cabinet components (carcasses, fronts, worktops, fascia trims, shelves) are cut from 12mm "Koala" Beech Faced Eucalyptus Plywood and supplied untreated for you to finish however you wish.

Material & care

For general care simply wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
