Lowd Vans Headbanger is a slimline overhead storage unit for VW T2 kombis.

Designed in response to repeated customer requests, we originally thought we didn't need one but now cannot imagine the van without it. The perfect spot to stowaway picnic rug, blanket, towels, sunhats, umbrellas etc. And the finishing touch to your camper van.

The Headbanger has a generous drop down door opening that spans the front and underside. Like all Lowd Vans cabinetry the hardware supplied is high quality European specification. The unit is secured in place by a pair of powder coated stainless steel brackets. Despite the name, this cabinet has a softened front edge (thanks to a rounded hardwood moulding) so if you do sit up too fast, it's a bump rather than a bang!

The Headbanger fits a T2 camper or tin-top. We have based the roof profile on our own T2 van but as post-factory modifications vary, some adjustment may be required.

Available in a choice of colours to coordinate with your Lowd Vans cabinets. Clear film faced birch plywood with a choice of accent colours for the underside panel: Grey, Black, or White (most customers choose white to match the van's head lining).

Material & care

For general care simply wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.

Assembly advice

Lowd Vans cabinets and accessories are supplied flat pack, ready for self assembly. Each DIY kit includes illustrated step by step instructions and all the necessary hardware.

Delivery & returns

Please check through your order carefully. We are happy to answer any questions you have in advance. Delivery is by courier. Shipping is calculated at the checkout based on weight and location. Please note we are unable to deliver to a PO Box.
