Lowd Vans flat pack cabinet kits have been carefully designed for self assembly
All you need to assemble the cabinets is a cordless drill, some glue, a couple of clamps and a bit of common sense. As a VW owner, we're pretty sure you've got all these already. We provide detailed, easy-to-follow, step-by-step illustrated instruction booklets. Drill bits, screws, hinges, handles and drawer runners are all included. We do not supply fridge, butane burner, water tank, tap or 12v accessories. But we do include the kitchen sink!
We have a range of layouts to fit classic Volkswagen models: T1 splitty, T2 kombi, T3 vanagon.
Choose the configuration to suit your kombi model and personal requirements. Some suit a 3/4 width bed, others are for a full width seat. Each layout is named after an iconic surf break on Victoria's Great Ocean Road. We also have designed a range of accessories for that finishing touch.
How to choose
Order online. Lowd Vans flat pack cabinet kits are cut to order in Melbourne for each customer. All products are available through our online shop. Please allow around 4 - 6 weeks for your order to be ready for despatch. Orders are shipped by courier to all states of Australia or may be collected by arrangement from our Melbourne workshop.

Useful Tips for Self Assembly
When you receive your Lowd Vans order, tackle one cabinet at a time. If you have ordered a Compete Assembly package, the Fridge Cabinet is a good unit to start on. We recommend reading through the instructions for that item and familiarising yourself with the hardware and components before you start the assembly process.
Hardware
All the hardware for your entire order is boxed together and clearly marked "HARDWARE". If you have ordered a sink, the hardware will be in the sink package.
Each cabinet or accessory has its own clearly marked ziplock bag containing the hardware (screws etc) for that specific cabinet.
We also supply a square-drive screwdriver bit and a countersink drill bit with each order in a separate ziplock bag, along with a LV postcard & window sticker for your van.
Instructions
An illustrated step-by-step Assembly Instructions booklet is packed with each cabinet kit. The first pages include general notes and a "mainfest" listing all the components and hardware items for that cabinet. Read this booklet right through before you start the assembly process.
An additional booklet titled Installation Instructions describes how to fit all of the finished cabinets into your vehicle. If you have ordered a complete assembly, this booklet is packed with the Fridge Cabinet kit.
Components
The plywood components for each cabinet kit are packaged together. Larger cabinets (eg Winkipop Sink Cabinet) may be in two packages, clearly marked. Each individual component is named (Cabinet Base etc) and notated with a letter (A, B etc) in the Assembly Instructions manifest. It's a good idea to lay out all the cut plywood pieces for the cabinet and ensure you understand what each item corresponds to.
